Process:
Mr. Mullen and Mrs. Meyer will introduce a new word just about every day. Sometimes there may be two words in a day.
We will describe the word and give an example of how it can be used.
We will discuss how the word may apply to real world situations.
We will look at the definition of the word and some of its synonyms
You will write your definition of the word or your understanding of what the word means. The class will share their definitions.
We will use online resources to get dictionary definitions, synonyms, and etymologies.
We will draw pictures and make posters about the word.
We will find out how the word is used in newspapers, magazines, and books.
We will write a short paragraph about the word.
When we get through a group of 5 words, we will play a vocab game and take a quick quiz.
